Disneyland in December

Michael Joe has moments of needing to have something to look forward to, a time to relax & forget real life and Disneyland does this for him.  He booked it all without me giving him a hard time.
December 7-10th….took the girls out, which we got truant letters for! Ha!
This tree was outside our hotel room heading to a late lunch in downtown.

DISNEYLAND
Peter Pan was #1 as usual.  Tea cup ride, Storybook Canal ride…sweet, but I don’t think the girls thought it was worth the wait.  It’s A Small World. Churro break with the holiday spice dips! Yum to the dip! Toon town we separated. Dad and Sia did Roger Rabbit ride while we discovered fun toon town things.  Downtown for lunch at Naples pizza place. Yum.  We rode monorail back into Tomorrow land which was lovely to save our legs!  Astro blasters and Autopia (actually really hilarious and fun this time with Sia at the wheel!)  Haunted Mansion with the switch to Nightmare theme and the girls were so much more comfortable and I LOVED it too…realized I had never done it before with the theme switch!  Tiki room and dole whip was a good time.  After that Jungle Cruise (lots of boat rides this trip) with an hilarious guide.  Me & Sia then did Pirates by ourselves and got stuck quite a bit between boats hitting in front and from behind:) Noelle, Dad, Gwinna did Winnie the Pooh.  We had burgers at the Hungry Bear.  Not bad at all.  I ran to Splash Mountain since there was absolutely no line! Fun.  Log by myself and even an offer to stay on it! Alas, had to be with my family.  We all did Haunted Mansion as a family again…more into the night so that was fun and a shorter line.  Gwinna found the sweatshirt on Main st in a window I had wanted in downtown the night before and I actually got it. Yay…boring navy classic Mickey:) We checked out the art gallery before we left.
Overall a beautiful, perfect weather day and not all that crowded…did not wait longer than 30 minutes for any ride;)

UNFORTUNATELY it was a bummer of a night for poor Noelle.  Up before me barfing…woke me up around midnight and everyone else too after that…lots more barfing and once more after we tried to get chicken noodle soup in her.  She was able to push through from about 10:30 to 1:30 with us in California Park but then could not do it.

CALIFORNIA PARK
The day was different too, more miserable, rainy, colder.  Soarin as a family first.  Me and Sia did Grizzly river run after purchasing the too expensive Disneyland ponchos :0 We did get to do Monsters as a family too and then headed to Cocina (Mexican food) to eat and freeze and poor Noelle just slowly ate rice and looked too sad.  Went to Elias to buy too expensive sweatshirts for the kids & she asked to leave :( She did try so hard to not.  Poor thing.
Michael headed back with her to buy some bread and medicine while me, Sia and Gwinna hiked on.  Haha.  Mater a couple times in a row because it was raining and there was no line!!! Sun came back out for Jessies Carousel, Emotional Whirlwind, & Midway Mania (which Michael used the lightening lane for us & we bypassed a 90 minute line and were on within 10!) MAGIC! We then went to Ghirardelli for my decadent drinking chocolate & the girls got pick your own chocolate bar shakes that they loved! Sia got sugar cookie one and Gwinna caramel chocolate:) Yum.  We headed back to hotel to take a break and eat lunch with Noelle and the daddy and then all came back together to end the day:) Soarin again & the Mater ride, of course!  I was able to do Incredicoaster on my own at night. TOO MUCH FUN FOR ME! Also used a lightening lane which was so so great! On within literally 2 minutes!  They did midway mania while I was on that and then we all ended the night on emotional whirlwind.
