home

I love belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Awesome quotes such as the following are born from our inspired leaders.

President Harold B. Lee taught us:
"The most important of the Lord's work you will ever do will be within the walls of your own homes."

Sister Eliza R. Snow assured the Relief Society:
"There are many of the sisters whose labors are not known beyond their own dwellings and perhaps not appreciated there, but what difference does that make?  If your labors are acceptable to God, however simple the duties, if faithfully performed, you should never be discouraged."

They make me feel good.  Even though that adorable troll above is our baby at the moment and laundry,
dishes
and
vacuuming
are among some of my greatest worries,
I perform them happily and gratefully knowing what I know!

p.s. my labors do NOT go unnoticed.  Michael is a very grateful man:)

EAT, PRAY, LOVE

"There are too many people on this earth.  We need a new plague."
Dwight Shrute

"Understand other people and you'll begin to be able to understand yourself."

"Habits are easily formed.  It is just as easy to form good habits as it is to form evil ones."
President Joseph F. Smith

"Weird indicates a creative force."

"Rely on Him heavily."
Elder Holland

"Many seminary students will know this scripture mastery verse: 'Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.' (2 Nephi 2:25)
But we sometimes forget that it's really true.  We are meant to have joy, which means to be genuinely happy,
in an eternal sense."

A (justifiably?) proud wife

For those of you who do not know, my husband is going to
Thomas Jefferson School of Law
here in Lovely Winters, San Diego:)
And I will have you know, that at the end of his first semester he was very much freaking out about whether he would even be going back for the second!!!
WELL...as you can see there is no danger of that since he made the HONOR ROLL!!!!
I know, I know...there are those of you rolling your eyes at me right now thinking "I hate when people brag about their spouses." BUT I MEAN COME ON! We are talking about professional school here!
 LAW SCHOOL....yuck!
No offense baby.
TAKE NOTE: The last sentences states -
"You may justifiably take pride in your accomplishments."
Does this apply to the wife?
Because I admit, I am oh so proud!
Thanks for the letter Mr. Dean & President...

sleepy sister sophia

This girl is so funny.  Twice on our Christmas vacation she came over to just lay on top of me and talk and literally within minutes fell asleep! I just love her!

I mean...how could you not love this face???
