monterey

We love this place.  Even if we never live in Monterey we will always, always visit.  

A miracle happened the day we went! Mama Isabel actually came with us!!!

 She has a fear of driving and also of the ocean but I thought she looked so at peace near it;) 

Happy day. 

On a side note: one day Gwinna was sitting in my lap and Noelle bit her foot. 

Oops!! I got a picture...bad mom award. 

hernia & happy birthday

Michael had hernia surgery on Oct 28th.

During the day, since Michael was unable to eat, we distracted him by going to the mall...not the best idea (Auntie Annes).

 BUT then these sweet Asians pulled him (like actually forced him over) into one of their massage chairs & told him he looked like he could really use a massage;) He said they were so sweet and so hilarious in how they did it he could not refuse at least 10 minutes.  

So he enjoyed a massage and I got some dark chocolate gelato while he was not looking;) 

  To stay occupied as he was in surgery me and the girls tried on their Grandma Isabel's reading glasses and they made each other crack up playing peekaboo in and around the high chair.  I scrubbed every dish in the house...kind of like when I was preparing to give birth. 

 I was nervous, but not outwardly so.   

Thankfully all is well and he is perfectly recovered and working out again;) 

As Michael recovered we did not get out much for my birthday but we did have some good food! 

And that is the important thing.

My mom also got me some great wool yarn to crochet into a blanket!

noelle dahlia

 She is a sweet sleeper.  From the beginning of her life she wanted to sleep. 

 I LOVE being a mama to this beautiful Christmas gift we received last year at 8:10 in the morning.  Noelle Dahlia Silva.

Our Noellie (nick name) loves to be held.  She has the most precious little complaining voice, and I know this sounds odd and may change but right now I am in love.  As of about a week ago she started to walk around on her knees! It is hilarious.  A couple days ago she started to stand on her own and just get giddy with us as we cheer for her!  No steps yet!

There are times of awesome laughter between her and Gwinna that I could just die happy...right there. Unfortunately, there are other times that I have sat and cried with Gwinna after she endures the wrath of Noelle's (rather large) set of chompers!!:( Seriously, though.  

Noelle is starting to enjoy bathing! yay! I NEVER thought this would happen.  

She loves to crawl and sit in little spaces like drawers and toy boxes. 

She plays well alone. A good trait, I think. 

I just love this baby.  Everyday I could eat her.

  She humbles me because she just feels too perfect to be real sometimes. 

I love you my Christmas girlfriend.

homecoming in hilmar 2014

So, I do not often venture out on my own with my babies...hm...actually I NEVER do. 

 Homecoming parade in Hilmar, though.  I thought it would be a fun excuse to take the babies out.  Poor dears;) I am very much a home body!  

It WAS fun but it was also very hot.  I am grateful when we do get out because I am reminded that there are kind and good people in this world.  Gwinna was hot and when she gets hot she gets red. 

 A very sweet woman noticed how red she was and let us borrow her umbrella.  Later this same cute lady brought us water and candy that was thrown during the parade and a little ball for Gwinna.  

Gwinna's favorite part of the whole thing was the "housies" (horses) right in the beginning! She kept asking for them to come back:)

We parked at my dad's office and he came to join us later.

Uncle Stanley is on the back of that freshman truck and his float won!
