Passions

I've been pondering all of the blogs I read lately.
There are women out there who wear red lipstick and pull it off beautifully.
There are crafty ladies,
bakers,
amazing cooks,
 excellent photographers,
great artists
and those who are passionate about fashion.
So I've been asking myself...what am I passionate about?
My mom asked me one day: "what do you think about when you don't have to think about anything?"
I have to be honest here....
MOVIES!
Goodness...I have come to realize, upon going home to visit my lovely family, that much of our conversations are made up of movie quoting and I LOVE it.  They are old friends for us.  When we are able to visit them together it makes life that much more enjoyable.  Do I sound silly? Maybe I am BUT our movies brought us together in our youth and they have become the glue that help us through the realities of today!
Here are some of my absolute favorites:
We watch this one every Christmas and send the boys away.  My sisters and I discuss every time who is who.  I was Jo. Lilia Beth. Sophia Amy...when we were younger...simply because that was the order. Analyzing it this year I've realized we all possess certain Jo-like qualities;)
Stranger than Fiction.
I love the pace of this one. I love the simplicity of it, the narration, EVERY character, the music, the beauty captured in creating a story as its happening. It is just fantastic on so many levels.
Anne of Green Gables.
She is such an inspiration. I believe we could be bosom friends. She is brave, dramatic, loves to "soak it all in", and puts things into action instead of constantly talking about what she is going to do.
It is so refreshingly RAW AND REAL!  Enough said? I don't know...I love Juliette Binoche's character.  The whole family is just perfect. Awkward moments and uncomfortable spots are so believeable!
"YOU ARE A MURDERER OF LOVE!"
Love quoting this one...with my husband actually...:) ;)

Ahhh. Tim Burton.  I just love his style.  This one was surprisingly a more energetic, light, happy one as opposed to his usual hue of darkness.  I would LOVE for my funeral to be a bright, bubbling party as he imagines his will be...

Mmm...Happy New Year to me!

Just in case anyone wonders why so many out dated posts were showing up here is why:
1. I feel the need to make my life as simple as possible (hm...Steel Magnolias?)
2.  My happyhippy blog was just not receiving the attention it deserved.
3.  I AM LAZY...it just did not make sense to have two blogs to neglect;) So now...I just have this one!
4.  It is on my New Year's resolution list to blog twice a week AT least...so you see why I HAD to consolidate.
5.Also, this was the suggestion of my brilliant husband up there kissing me.  Love him.
6. Love all of you, whoever you are!

grateful yet again...

The quest for nobility continues....
1. The Rexburg temple is right across the street from where I live. A miracle.

2.) Idaho Skys...

3.)  I found a jar to put my change in...

3.) Yes Michael I will miss October...
4.) My Michael Joe...again...isn't he beautiful....;)

"Gratitude is the sign of noble souls" -Aesop

I have decided to assume the virtue of nobility today and list the top five things I am grateful for in this moment:
1.)  My fiance. Michael Joe Silva. He is probably the only person reading this at the moment and I am ok with that. I love you truly, madly, deeply, passionately and I will forever!
2.)  Friends - borrowed tie dye shirts:)
3.) The sun
4.) Yoga
5.) Taco Bell

time....

It is so precious. There is so little of it.  My advice is to be calm in the midst of not having enough of it. Mind you, this is advice to myself.  Life is busy at the moment.  I am a student. I know that I have plenty of time in comparison to those further along in life.  I am grateful for every moment of the day...no matter what I am doing.  Tonight I get to go to a yoga class and revel in 50 minutes of relaxing and stretching my body with nothing on my mind.  Beautiful. I am grateful for time....

A journal?

Is that what these are for? I love the idea. The movie Julie & Julia, my sisters Andrea and Lanette, many other friends, and the lack of time to sit down and physically write in my journal nowadays all play a big part in my inspiration for this new undertaking.

This is my favorite blogger. She is very inspiring. She is happy, colorful, loves anthropologieand is a former yoga instructor and so grateful for the small details of living in this beautiful world.  I think we could be great friends.  In Utah this summer my best friend Cara Jean and I sat in Anthropologie as I secretly wished to myself that she would walk through the door so I could hug her and thank her for living as she does.
