Faith- principle of action & power 

My thoughts on this … faith is not passive. It’s a verb, VERY active…otherwise you are just doing it wrong. If you’re not ACTING on what you desire to know to be true you’re not EXERCISING! Like a muscle. Gotta work that out - or NO GROWTH, no strength added, no PROGRESSION to ANY power. Cannot sit and dwell…

Faith is EVERYTHING! It is the way through our doubts as we actively seek and work and push through them. I suppose desire has to be there first though. If it’s not…no point really. 

Such a hard thing to face when someone we were teaching didn’t really want to be taught. They just wanted a good debate, a thrilling argument, a “stumped - ya” moment. Cannot engage in it because their hearts are not in a place to receive truth. Deaf ears because they do not want to listen. Not really. 

On the other side of that is me. Unwilling to be shaken in my own faith…not unwilling so much as unable. It is my foundation, my rock, my everything that my life is built upon because I have been (not always, but trying!) going through the spiritual grit of BUILDING it my entire life. 

Because of this…the one who won’t truly listen & the other who is immovable things will simply go nowhere. 

”amen” is the beginning of the prayer of faith…the very starting point of having faith, taking action and gaining power

I love this. Elder Bednar…inspired man. Too many prayers of faith offered, acted upon, answered & then, in turn, gained power from (in my own life) to deny this truth!
