The main event of this month was the baptism of our Gwinna Jovee girlfriend.  8/8/20.

August 8, 2020
It’s the morning of your baptism and I’m sitting here watching Halloween stare out the window. I feel calm and happy for you today. You are my beautiful curly girl and you are so full of life & goodness. You teach me how to be a better mom and human being Gwinna. I want you to know that and remember that! Heavenly Father blessed me with you as a daughter so I could learn many important lessons that you alone have taught me and will teach me in the future. This is true. I am just humbled as ever on this day to be your mama. The day you will become the newest, most precious member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am so proud of your choices. I believe in you. This decision you’ve made today is the best one you have made so far & I know your Father in Heaven and Elder Brother, our Savior are both beaming with pride about it, as I am:) You’re a beautiful, compassionate, perfect little soul Gwinna.

So you got baptized and confirmed yesterday and it was just perfect. So many people love you & came for you. Our families. Such a cool experience seeing daddy baptize you in the beautiful pool.
Grandpa confirmed you and blessed you with many things and one was that you will choose your friends wisely and be a great missionary to those friends someday. So awesome. He also blessed you to have the spirit of cooperation and be kind to your sisters :) Aunt Lili gave you the most beautiful, handmade journal that I hope you treasure forever. The words teach you how to follow and act upon promptings you get from God through the Spirit, which you have now, forever! A beautiful gift. I am so undeniably proud of you and happy for you!

Lessons I’ve learned
Be open minded
This whole time has been full of contradicting information, advice, realities
True at home too..some days better to have a schedule, sometimes has worked better and my girls needed a lesson in the middle of our day....🤷🏼‍♀️
It’s Sunday.
I wore my pants under my long dress because Michael likes a cold house. I don’t mind because I also wore my cozy sweater he got me in Utah a million years ago, when we could walk amongst our brothers and sisters and not get nervous when they got too close or breathed too heavily or didn’t wear a mask........
Life can feel so heavy when I really sit and ponder. But it never lasts very long for me because as of late I’ve been following the example of my rockstar of a husband and immersing myself in study. I read last week that there are those questioning where a safe place to raise a family right now is and he continues onto say it is in a Gospel-centered Christ-centered home.
My girls are safe and happy and studying everyday. They are participating in such an intimate way with the ordinances of the Gospel and getting wonderful practice in bearing their testimonies with us.
I want to be more:
HUMBLE
PURE
 FIRM
(both physically and spiritually!)🤣

Something funny:
Noelle: “it’s like a little cubby”
Gwinna: “we don’t say the word chubby.”
Noelle: “I said cubby!” 🤣🤣🤣
