journaling...

This year has felt both like the laziest yet most reflective of my life. Ugh. We've been forced to slow down and I must admit its been a love/hate moment in time.  I always feel pretty worthless in the summer but this one it seems times 10 because we really do not do much.
Gwinna is turning 8 this month.  I can hardly believe that.  She is such a fantastic little human and I fear being the one that dims that great light in her.  She's energetic.  Always singing, always moving, dancing and happy.  She is one of the most compassionate little souls too.  She sees people and wants to help and make their lives better however she can.  She is so sweet and good with Jethro.  Her younger sisters can drive her up a wall at times and I find myself blaming her more than I should be, simply because she is older:/ not good. Lil pointed out the other day how giving and generous Michael is and that she sees it so much in all of our girls.  That is such a great compliment:) I don't know why I come down hard on myself but I just always feel like I have such huge room for improvement.

Things I NEED to do better in:
READ with my girls daily
BE a more supportive wife

SO grateful for in this moment:
My loving Elder Brother and Savior Jesus Christ
My family's health and safety
Micahel's amazing career
Friendships in my family
Our old mattress (tried a sleep number and it is NOT for us:/)
Swimming time with family
Autumn's workouts
President Hinckley's words of wisdom
