Still doing that…
MJ found a fledgling in the middle of the road on his walk one day and panicked and put him in a box.
He was not injured. We read that we should put him in a bush nearby because his parents were probably close and he was likely just resting. Hoping that was the case.
Fittings for crazy times…
Shaved ice after gymnastics . . . Balance. 😅
The youth fundraiser dinner. Elevated by 1000% because of Mollie Paynes AMAZING flowers and idea to do bud vases for each person as the center piece, complete with name tags and table assignments! This is all WEEK OF too. Just amaze. I sat with some of the widows of our ward who were just hilarious and real and too much fun. I LOVE our youth so much. Energetic, fun little people. I have to say one of my absolute favorite parts of the night though was sitting with our friends kids watching Bluey in the nursery and having them give me a play by play and then one of them asking me to go get him a very specific cookie. I came back with the wrong one, of course!
He then proceeded to serve himself and came back with a brownie and a cinnamon roll instead. 😂
Happy DAD dia. He is a great one. (Side note: MJ recently got a calling and the leader interviewing them asked the girls if he was a good dad..they all nodded and then he said “even though he may not give you everything you want?” We all laughed…uhhh…he does do that. He then turned to me (mom) knowing that I am the “bad guy” ha!
Getting set up for a film crew in our home to shoot the ThunderClap Halloween episode!
Wild child
Me, Jimmy and the girls mostly played all day. 8 hours at the Riverwoods to be exact. We tired him out so much he fell asleep before the pizza arrived! The rest of the time we relocated between Gwinna’s room and our guest bedroom, watched a whole movie (Big Hero 6..I forget how good & sad!), did cosmic kids yoga and tried not to eat too much sugar and failed. We also got MASSIVE swigs (my first ever) to stay awake! Ugh. Bad idea but yum too. Mountain Dew mixed with dragon fruit. Utah, Utah, Utah….
2PM - 2AM!
These cuties. Sia FINALLY did a lemonade stand with her friend Elise. We all went out separately to purchase and they also got one real, live customer! So that was fun:) Osmond Lane is pretty quiet but they had a good time. I was impressed with Gwinna showing up sweetly to support them (she was the first & spent $7 of her own monies!)
Thunderclap safety shorts filming for the day.
Feeling the need to write:
GRATEFUL…
I think I write these lists (usually) when I’m most overwhelmed. And I am at the moment but it is all good things, all good things in the future. Girls camp tomorrow morning. Feeling SO grateful for Dan Feys main advice for us as leaders up there is to BE POSITIVE! Hello! Seems simple enough but yes! Need to remember this. An attitude of positivity and gratitude is contagious as WELL AS an attitude of negativity & misery. I will not dwell there. I am determined to lean in completely to this experience and set a good example of joy for my family & my girl family! So so grateful for the leadership in this whole thing, also SO grateful it was not our year to plan it. It just takes a lot to get all of the things and people to finally come together. Thank goodness for such an awesome stake! Grateful for my hot husband who makes a living that allows me to easily purchase all of the things for us to be more comfy in a camp setting! Grateful for my bear spray. Grateful for my younger girl group who I KNOW will just be giggly & joyful throughout & lift me when/if I need it. Grateful we get to be in yurts. Grateful for my car that will take us there. Grateful for the AMAZING women I serve with and so happy they are all mostly coming!
Michael will also be receiving a calling on Sunday morning
My knee jerk reaction is anger in pondering that it could mean an upheaval for us…not me so much (in fact! I am at peace with whatever it will mean for me…truly I will go fully heartedly wherever He wants me to be and I think maybe that is why Michael got a text a few days ago and we aren’t finding out til Sunday! Possibly for my sake…I have a process to work through when I change callings… next phase is worry and Im over that now and now I am just grateful to have had time with the young women at all!)
I am still slightly worried about what it may mean for the girls. We will cross it & be so blessed though according to MJs blessing. Not coincidental timing wherein one day he decided to be completely and finally out of the business (view it as an investment) and the very NEXT DAY receive this text of being found a worthy candidate for a calling within the YSA stake potentially.

Whenever I was with Jessica she was expressing something she was grateful for or just happy about or how much she loved.
She would say “oh these sweet girls” and you could feel the love she has for them just radiating from her.
She said how grateful she was for the sound of the wind rustling the aspen leaves on trees.
She taught a lot of us about the true size of an angler fish & that baby sea turtles must go through the struggle of making it out to sea in order to be strong enough to survive.
Her mind was always working forward…I appreciated so much the lining up of our cars to get out first!
Moments I loved about camp:
This may be terrible of me as a leader to love this moment but I did love it. Fran and Lila (sisters) sitting together during the last rotation of the faith walk having a truly unstoppable giggle fit. Just a sweet moment.
When Sam Payne said he didn’t really know why he’d be needed that night & literally a minute later being asked by Jessica to come give Violet a blessing of comfort.
Jessica running to get girls junk food & sunscreen when they were laying lakeside.
Rachel’s amazing whole presentation. Standing in the middle of the streets of New York in her garments with a ripped maxi skirt. Sometimes you will have these days!
Slow down your brain.
Mindy (formerly smoot) performing broadway songs for us while sharing her story. Amaze. She also said she had used the porta potties earlier in the day and said anti-Mormon literature is like using a porta potty you just do not look!
Arbinger institute guy spoke of relationships and treating people as people instead of objects. Turn outward instead of inward to really see them as people with their own struggles, feelings, worries, hopes... ask why they are behaving in a way, more than anything we want to feel justified in treating people as we do.
Thanking Rachel for her presentation & meeting her for the first time on the last day & her hugging me even though I smelled awful!
Chelsea’s amazing humor & laughter throughout camp. Her constant service & thoughtfulness for Irish.
Meeting Sara mom of 6 and her asking me in regard to her birth experiences “how much detail do you want me to go into Hannah who I just met” hahaha
The amazing service project and story of Jen. Addicted to meth & turned her life around and now providing vests for the homeless to keep them warm always!
Sophie’s testimony of feeling like we were her family this week because right now hers feels broken. Appreciating our kind words and that we sat and talked to her and complimented her drawings.
Girls camp
If your personality was a charm bracelet what 3 charms would be on it and why?
I want to become who God wants me to become.
He leads me in a more powerful, meaningful day when I prioritize him through reading my scriptures.
Forgiveness
Have to have faith that He will make everything right - our only job is to forgive

Not AI generated (this picture 😄)…Grandpa pet 2 out of 3 of our cats!!!
He also had a DREAM while he was here that he got a cat for himself!!!
He did refer to them as “good dogs” as he pet them… 😛
Michael Joe absolutely took care of things when I was away. He took Sia to get her hair dyed (she is overjoyed about this), volunteered for a few hours at her Pioneer Day camp (and got stung by a wasp during it!), coordinated with Elises mom & dropped Elise off at her dads house after, kept up with all of the house things, & got my parents all situated (even invited them to walk with him in the mornings)
I had a moment at girls camp that I needed to step away, it was day 2 and I had gotten literally NO sleep the night before because I was freezing. Around 2:00 the next day I was just dead & went back to my yurt to take a moment and called Michael Joe. SERVICE to be able to CALL him, what a tender mercy that was to be able to easily talk to him and be with him, in a way, for a few minutes. It was healing just to hear his voice. That is a strange thing to say isnt it? I am a weirdo but man alive I love my husband. He is my favorite. “Periodt!” ~Madea
‘Twas so great to get to hear the parents mission presidents talks. It was packed! I felt bad for regular ward members. We definitely took someone’s seats. If anyone showed up even just a few minutes late they were all the way in the second overflow Im sure!
Beloved Presidentes. Very cool.
Balling
Basically shopped for a day with Grandma and Grandpa. Like 5 hours downtown! Girls are not used to this & I am not even anymore! They have stamina for shopping:) I love it, they’re good at spending money and getting me to spend mine! HA!!!
The girls were grateful for Grandma and Grandpa shoppings (after we got lunch) because we stopped in a new place called “the collective soul” and it is their very favorite now!
Met up with MJ at the Riverwoods and kept going! More shoppings, dinner at Rodizios and desserts at Pinguinos. Gelato and sorbetto! YUM.
And then AUNT LILis AMAZING creation came for Sia. She inspired dad to make some too.
Mom to me “Dad cannot come into a yarn store and leave without buying some….he has so much yarn!”
… and then it was 2 days of rest and onto our next guests in July ❤💙
