MARCH

 

March began in a fun & wild way. Noelle was in tears when she realized she may have accidentally flung one of her first earrings behind her and into the sink when she jumped off the counter with them in her hand! I did not think it was possible so we scoured the bathroom floor…nothing. So Michael texted my dad to ask if he could possibly come and help us figure it out.  Strong Grandpa cranked off the bottom (totally glued part) of our sink and found it!!!!! 

WOOO! Our HERO! Especially Noelles;) 

March 2nd we had a Silva Injury Law family dinner at The Great American Grill:) We had to bring Sammy presents and he ripped all of them open and got so happy with each one! Cutest little guy. 

March 3rd was Noelle’s turn to shop with Tia Sophia! Too much fun buying all of the things for her art party and planning matchy outfits.

HOW WILL I EVER REMEMBER THIS? 

Today Gwinna handed me this and asked me to give it to her on March 6th, exactly six years from now! So…2029! Hmm..Lils??! Will you remember for me..haha!

She says she wants to compare it to her bunny drawing abilities at that time. Silly gal.  I’m stashing it in my yellow binder that I keep their arts in!

March 8

Flew to San Diego 

Phil’s bbq - ate with gusto 

Visited Clairemonts Sportscards for Michael to look for Joe Burrow

A comic store that was not too exciting 

Checked in to our Hilton 25th floor!

Ubered to seaport village to shop-got fun little things for Soph & girlies

Dinner at “ top of the market” which is actually on TOP of The Fish Market that had raving cioppino reviews. We somehow got reservations upstairs instead of down 🤷‍♀️ not great cioppino for MJ:/ I got ahi tuna & really loved the flavor of everything. Slightly underwhelmed. Chocolate pot de crème..only liked the chocolate layer 😊

Meanwhile : awesome Tia Sophia cutting my girls hairs & taking care of them after we absolutely SPRUNG it on her. Yikes. Do not like the feeling of totally inconveniencing peoples but they seem to be having a good time & praying with Grandma at night so .. all good things, all good things :) 

A few things- grateful for my ability to move my body

Looking out this hotel window is like Harry Potter- a moving piece of art- thinking of Mason when I look at the trucks moving down there- little toys, they look like 

Just did pilates and showered - getting ready to go to my 80 😳 minute massage! 

3/9- protein pancakes door dashed - ate with our hands. Michael got ice for our preworkout drinks. He left for gym I did Pilates in room. At 11 I got one of the best .. (probably #2 on the list) massages! Michael got us açaí bowls, discussing trial with Cassidy when I got back .. he went down to pick up the bowls and saw two guys yelling at each other about a scratched Tesla 🫣

He tried to go register and came right back. Line too long… so we went the mall instead and saw 65. I loved it, action, dinosaurs but also really sweet moments. Lego store, anthro, sports one  (in which Michael said I failed because there was not a lot of bengals gear), urban outfitters & movie. We then ubered to verbatim books. We’ve had really talkative and kind Uber drivers this trip. Met a guy originally from Ethiopia … a couple of  really young guys (one of which made me feel like we could meet our maker soon), a guy we discussed The West Wing show with (he’s watched it through 4 times!). 

Crazee burger for dinner, Michael got a camel burger😐 I got Buffalo.

Just got back from the temple. Such a great experience being able to get baptized for Michael’s grandparents. I got to be a witness when Michael was baptized with his long hair :) And we were able to help a few other people with their family names:) Michael got baptized by a big Irish guy and for his family (10 names) and he was able to baptize another guy for his dad who died a year ago. Also there was a woman right when we came in asking if she was able to leave family names …they told her no but I said I’d be willing to do the girls and volunteered Michael to do the guys for her:) so that added 4 more to Michael’s list 😄 so nice to be able to serve and then again and again in the temple. What better place. I was only dunked thrice which was nice:)

SeaWorld - orca show, dolphin show, sharks, sea lions with the funny feathery birds attempting to steal fish, penguins, & wild arctic walk. Started to mist really heavily & steadily.

OH! And Gwinna lost a tooth, of course! 

When we got home from San Diego we attempted to pay Soph and Brett back by watching their kids so they could do the crab feed in peace. Hmm…3 hours after 4 days of watching our babies!!! Not quite even. Poor little Mack was put in an owl onesie because I am not “with it” and did not know that the zippers can start at the top on these baby pjs now:)

Noelle’s art party

Mack & Halloween

This girl. She stressed about this day & prepared so many fun things. We each made a monster (tape base made by her) out of pom ball (all pulled apart by her) fluff! Mason’s tape guy was sticky on the outside so he would not have to worry about glue and was able to stick the fluff right on. He had his own little section set up. We played pin the paint on the palette throughout the whole party for points (tallied on the white board.) We did a painting on canvas creation of our choosing. Noelle had examples we could do…either a self portrait or an abstract painting. She had little name tags for each place, colored to look like a blob of paint. She made a rainbow out of fruit and had “secret drink” on her menu (made out of sparkling water & Italian ice.) We played a game where she told us exactly what to draw (a pig eating pizza in outer space) and then she came back to be the judge! Tia Sophia won. Sia’s was my personal favorite 😍 She made paint palettes and brushes out of clay and painted each one of them as party favors! We also played a pass the art game where we each added to each others pictures;) Noelle. I was impressed. She was in control of moving from one thing to next, clearing the table and moving onto new things at a good pace:) A successful artsy party I say!

After everyone left the girls went to work on their leprechaun trap which instead turned into a leprechaun home to welcome him in to stay:) He left them notes about riding the cat this year and being brave about it and thanking them for the dandelion tea, lucky charms, noodles, and fluffy bed:)

St. Patricks scavenger hunt downtown. We did it fast this year! Done by 11 and eating lunch by 11:30! We did not win but we had fun.

Brett’s birth MONTH! Ha. His golden one so we helped to wrap some things and had a few scavenger clues here for him to come find:) Kitty is protecting the presents. Noelle down there helped me press in the cheesecake crust for his cake.

OTHER RANDOMS THIS MONTH: 

I was able to teach Sunday school twice this month.. and while, yes I did it  with a cold sore it is my absolute favorite and such a massive, necessary blessing for me because I get so focused on behalf of their souls really. It feels like such a sacred calling because they’re so fragile right now. It could be a huge turning point for them. 

Project this month. Hung the hammock. We will see how long it lasts…Noelle asked me to get a dog out of it the other day and I FELL off the stool doing it 😝 OOPS.

Math…CAN be fun. 

Soph is like dad. Cannot express interest in anything and then NOT buy it…because she’ll go back and buy it! Hehe. I DO love my new towel and sponge😍

Finally got her bike out of the living room:) Happy girl. 

Spa Sunday. Soph has introduced us to this in our home and it was great. I got a hand massage, foot massage, nails all painted and hair done! 

Sia got her shopping day in!
