January

January. I love it.

Putting away Christmas…definitely have a problem.

Vision board 2023

Noelle made our family ;) hehe. I love that I am in a sweatshirt & Halloween is in a suit!

We have been watching a filtered version of Wednesday with the girls. Many pieces of art have been created, lots of braids & plans to possibly dress as her or Enid this Halloween.

He does this. He came and just sat behind her head:)

Baking mini cupcakes with the Sia:)

Love this random picture I took. It just felt peaceful this day…girls working, a headless Hermione lego creation in progress and balloons still up from Noelle’s birthday. Happy.

We finally met Mack on the 12th after being sick for too long! Noelle got to hold him first since she guessed his birthday!

I do not often need space from my family but one Saturday I really, really did! From all of them…even Michael Joe (which is especially rare!). He did not judge or question he immediately made plans with the girls to do a Funworks day and I got a day of shopping, watching movies, organizing, cleaning,  and eating desserts in peace.
So very needed & nice.

7 new puzzles this Christmas added to our fun collection.

Hilmar cheese dates with our girls.

Looking everywhere but at the camera 😝

Creating lands of their own here. I do not recall why Sia was upset but…reality.

Mason turned 2😄

SAN FRAN with the parents at the end of January. Truly too much fun, as dad would say.  Dad drove us all which was lovely because we also got spoiled with seat heat in the back! Mom planned it all…we were just little kids again:) hehe. We did a tour of Dandelion chocolate & got hot chocolate from there and bars of course oh and seeds that I am going to attempt to plant one and give the rest to dad. Lots of fun shopping. Dr. Seuss, a fun rug place where the parents bought the coolest colorful one. Paxton wherein we immediately looked up and saw THE moose that we would have most definitely bought had it not had a SOLD sign under it. Bummer. We did get a scorpion in acrylic for our girls from there because of their newfound love for Wednesday (pet scorpion.) We had the most incredible sushi/scallops/waygu beef for dinner and then Ubered to cafe bastille for desserts! Mom got some flaming crepes that she realized she inhaled very quickly without giving anyone a bite:) haha! “Someone ate my whole pie” type of moment. We had fun in the Palace hotel looking at their little historical museum & gorgeous chandeliers. When we got back to the hotel the first night mom texted to ask if I could call the cafe to ask if they found her bracelet. An antique red one that must have slipped off. I felt so bad, she felt sick. Michael was already showering so I trekked out to the elevators feeling determined to find it (after dad had looked already) and I walked back to where we stuck our heads in to look at the art in Pied Piper and sure enough it was right there on the red/navy carpet blending right in. I felt like a hero coming back with it :)
Breakfast in The Garden Court.  I actually got an omelette this time and inhaled it. Yum. We walked to the mall … Aesop, dad wandered in J.Crew for a moment, & Lucky where Michael picked out some new jeans..and a couple shirts, of course.  Over to Anthropologie :) Had to stop in Wal Greens for drinks because I was at the beginning of a headache. Then we did the Dr. Seuss gallery & rug place. We left with yet another Christmas one for our bedroom wall, for now:) I even got a little antique rug to hang.  At one point, coming out of the mall, I think dad started to make some noise and said we should all just join the screamers on the streets & “nobody will even look.” It’s true. No one does. 😂
We ubered to China Town for the Fortune Cookie Factory. Michael had never been so that was fun to show him. He said he could have eaten a whole bag of the warm ones they gave us. Still as cool as ever.  We then walked until it was Italian world:) Went into … don’t remember name but where the parents have gotten dishes over the years. I felt like mom said a few times on the this trip they hadn’t been in a certain place “for 20 years.” Fun. Mom laughed at me when I told her my favorite thing in the dish place were the little golden Christmas trees. Dinner we ate in a tight, loud place. Mom and Michael got the cioppino. I got lobster ravioli - amazing. Dad got a risotto:) Then we walked a couple blocks to get dessert at Lush Gelato. Mom and Michael got the same here too:) Brown Butter & Chocolate Honeycomb, dad got Rocky Road and I got lemon, light and perfect.  We found a few fun places on our way home, a cool bookstore and then ubered home :) Lots of ubering on this trip, which was good…I needed it sometimes. 😓
Our last morning we drove over to Sausalito and on the way stopped to take the bridge pictures;) Dad got another cool rug (that he threw in the car while telling us not to tell mom) 😄 We went to the art gallery he wanted to visit: Daniel Merriam’s Bubble Street Gallery.  We managed to pack his art piece in with all of the luggage, our Dr. Seuss and a broom for Tom Krebbs :) hehe.
Headed home talking about needing to go back soon.

Dandelion tour.

Dad getting mad I’m taking his picture among the rugs.

Oh I took this one to show my girls. Selling for $125.
Cute and random and they could do it! HAHA.
Cut outs of kitties on pancakes.

Moose!

The crepes:)

The little golden trees…I should have just gotten one.

I take random pictures.
This little troll was in an antique store in Sausalito that said it had permanently closed.

Bought these straws in a cool little place we found in SF for the girls.
And of course brought back fortune cookies!

The last day of January was the first day of GCYA for the girls!
Therefore, the first built in date night for the next 10 weeks at our Thailand Restaurant. Yahooo!
