a letter to my girls

Dear sweet Gwinna and Noelle,
This morning we woke up and stayed cozy a while in our wildly clad beds that are pushed together at this moment in life.  Gwinna, every morning you ask "where da daddy go?" "work baby."
Then your mama got up and did a crazy dance while asking what we should do today.  Your faces both lit up with most beautiful smiles I have ever seen EVER!  It felt like Christmas morning!
You girls feel like Christmas morning to me.
It is a great time in our lives.  We all sleep smooshed together at night.  We get to live with Avo and Tia Steph and Tio Brian.  We get to visit Grandma, Papa Nose & Uncle Stanley and go to church with them every Sunday.
Gwinna you are 2.  When we ask you how old you are you say "tchew" with the biggest grin and hold up two fingers...and sometimes your response is the same when we ask you other questions:)
One time I asked you what time it was and you said "umm...52."
You can honestly almost write the letter G!
The latest line that Grandma and Papa like to quote from you is "lemme look."
The other day I looked over at you as you ate (hoping not to see you throwing food) and you sat there with your sweet, big, baby eyes observing a little fly on your tray.  I watched you watch and all of the sudden the fly began to crawl toward you and you leaned back with a little whimper and a worried face and all I could do was laugh!!!
I love you my funny little one.
Noelle my sweet, wild (getting louder) girl you are already 10 months old.
waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh:(
I do not know how THAT happened.  You crawl everywhere so quickly and so badly want to keep up with Gwinna.  You have actually bitten her a few times to express your frustration when she can't seem to keep her hands to herself.  Yikes! You are so strong and you always know exactly what you want.  Your expressions make us laugh everyday.
You are already playing peekaboo with us and it is hilarious when you can't quite cover both eyes;)
The other day you closed my old polly pocket toy, handed it to me & I opened it for you.  You made a game of it & I probably opened it about 20 times just to see you get so happy.
You girls are both little dancers too! We play old Dancing with the Stars episodes
(mainly the duck dynasty one) and you both love it!
I love the details of our days together.
Thank you for being my awesome girlfriends.
Love,
Mama

a day

I thought it would be fun to look back someday at what my days consist of through these years of my babies being babies. I KNOW I will miss them someday and I really just want to capture as many moments I can.
So this first list is what I generally do/wanted to get done the other day.
  • change diapers
  • breakfast
  • organize room
  • plan primary music time
  • The Firm workout
  • vacuum
  • nap time
  • remove nail polish
This list is actually how my day went down. A lot more exciting than I could ever plan!
  • 7:24 AM all awake
  • Downstairs with dad
  • Bottle for Gwinna
  • Cinnamon toast crunch for mom
  • Take a few things OUT of Noelle's mouth
  • Change diapers ... finally! (oops its 9:30)
  • Back upstairs, attempt to plan primary while organizing
  • Gwinna sees bubbles
  • 1/2 hour of bubble blowing  (BIG smiles from both babies!)
  • Downstairs - eggs and tomatoes ("potatoes") for Gwinnas breakfast.
  • Yell at Gwinna to not touch the eggs while I'm making them
  • Surprised by multiple door bell rings (Tia Deolinda bringing us milk & sugar)
  • I'm embarrassed (note to self: stop yelling at Gwinna)
  • Feed Noelle while Gwinna eats in her high chair
  • Freak out when Gwinna starts throwing food on the ground?!?! (new development)
  • TRY to remind myself of my note to self ^^^
  • Run upstairs with Noelle to finish feeding her as she falls asleep
  • Back down to clean Gwinna's mess
  • A lot of whisper yelling...doesn't count right?!
  • The FIRM workout.
  • Throughout it Gwinna tries to ride me, plays peekaboo when I'm doing push ups and asks for shoes ;)
  • Almost the whole workout done when Noelle wakes up
  • Put her down to play while I finish with abs
  • Lovely husband calls around 11:40 to brag that he's eating at a Thai place without me :(
  • I'm trying to swat flies, hold Noelle and tell Gwinna to stop touching the blinds and to sit down on the couch.
  • Short conversation
  • Cut apple for Gwinna
  • She eats while I watch the first two minutes of a recorded movie that I have been wanting to watch
  • Back upstairs to actually organize closets and plan songs for primary.  Done!
  • Downstairs to relax on the couch, take some pictures of Noelle for canvas for Tia Stephanie
  • Pretend I am Jim Carey on the outtakes of Liar Liar with a piece of plastic making "a goose!"
  • This turns out to be hilarious to both of my girlfriends so I repeat a million times!
  • Love today:)
  • Gwinna wants a princess dress after seeing a commercial beginning Sesame Street so we go back upstairs because hey I need to vacuum anyway!
  • Muscle through vacuuming with Noelle in my arms (she is still too scared of the noise)
  • Nap time. YES!!!
  • Time is 1:45
  • Babies out by 1:53
The rest of the day is quite a bit less eventful and so great because I was able to make pumpkin bread for Janice and dinner for my family!

WOW. It is exhausting just writing this but the truth is I love my life.  I LOVE my babies and I really have nothing to complain about.  Especially since a lot of the time it is just me exhausting ME because Gwinna wants a princess dress so I run and get it;) I know, I know I am not helping with that entitlement problem.  A couple posts back though...I do take her toys and pare down quite often.

A few more things to note about life right now:

Noelle is sleeping in our bed at night  (I love being able to breastfeed!)
Gwinna in this moment is asking "what a doing?"  This phrase is her favorite lately & it is really cute.

we love Monterey (& Tia Sophia!!)

things

"Streamline, find your center." (what movie?)
I love to purge.  I have been doing it a lot lately.  I decidedly already have too many things in my life.  This is realized every time we move, but somehow we stay with most of it in the end.
Simplify is my word right now.
Boxes are all over my brain at the moment and it makes me anxious & sometimes even angry at the end of the day.  We are in the middle of moving with my in-laws and it has made me want to get rid of almost everything we own.
Seriously, though.
A few things:
I love my husband because in certain areas he is TOTALLY on board.  For example we do not have bed frames and he never wants them again...for any of us...including any future babies!
Yesterday I went through all of Gwinna's toys.
I told her to pick 5 favorites to keep out & of course we kept a few out for the "Nolla" (another name Gwinna has created for her sister)
Also books, of course  I kept those out!

My favorites & essentials:
The Gospel of Jesus Christ
Michael Joe Silva
 Gwinna Jovee Silva
Noelle Dahlia Silva
both Silva and Dahlin familias
lovely friends
my work out videos
my toothbrush (yeah...)
a few movies
soft blankets
mexican food
dark chocolate
mascara
clothes....not always though;)
